Verity's Hobbies is committed to making this website as accessible and easy to use as reasonably possible.

I want everyone to be able to find information about my workshops and events and, where possible, use the website to make bookings and purchases.

Our approach to accessibility

I am working to make this website accessible to as many people as possible, including people who may use assistive technologies or who have disabilities or accessibility needs.

I aim to follow recognised accessibility good practice, including making content clear and easy to understand and ensuring that the website can be navigated using different methods.

I am continually reviewing the website and will make improvements where accessibility issues are identified.

Things I am working to provide

I aim to ensure that:

  • Website content is written in clear and straightforward language

  • Pages have clear headings and logical structure

  • Images have alternative text where appropriate

  • Links and buttons are clearly labelled

  • Text has sufficient contrast against its background

  • The website can be navigated as far as reasonably possible using a keyboard

  • Content works across different screen sizes and devices

  • Forms and booking information are presented as clearly as possible

  • Videos and other media are made accessible where reasonably possible

As a small business, I am continually working to improve the accessibility of the website.

There may be parts of the website that are not yet fully accessible, including content or functionality provided by third-party services.

If I become aware of an accessibility problem, I will consider how it can be addressed and make improvements where reasonably possible.

Workshops and events

Accessibility is also important beyond the website itself.

Workshop and event venues may have different accessibility arrangements and facilities. If you have accessibility requirements for a particular workshop or event, please contact me before booking where possible.

I will do my best to provide relevant information about the venue and, where possible, help identify suitable arrangements.

Where tickets are sold by a third-party venue or ticket provider, you may also need to contact that organisation directly about accessibility arrangements for the event.
